is a Research Associate in the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering at UNSW Sydney. He applies data science and machine learning to mine geomechanics, bridging computer science and mining engineering to develop practical, industry-integrated tools for ground control and operational decision-making. He works with A/Prof. Chengguo Zhang and Prof. Ismet Canbulat.
Current research includes an ACARP project on a risk-based model for forecasting longwall face cavity development, Digital Ground Control Planning with Anglo American, and a haulage techno-economic assessment with Conveyor Manufacturers Australia.
He completed his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW under the supervision of Prof. Lina Yao. His earlier work in service-oriented computing and IoT data analytics included collaborations with the D² group and the US Office of Naval Research.
